Shoe and accessory repairs at the Cobbler's
Bench are done by Marlene Robinson who is
also the owner of Below the Knees, The
Cobbler's Bench, and The Best Fit.
The Cobbler's Bench was the original store which
offered everything that is now offered at the
three separate stores within one shop. About 3
years after buying the business, name and all,
Marlene realized that 'The Cobbler's Bench' did
not sufficiently express the other services offered
and decided then to give each entity a its own
identity.
Marlene bought The Cobbler's Bench in
September of 2003. Realizing learning how to
repair shoes was a necessity after buying the
store she acquired the guidance and teaching
skills from two local cobblers and has been doing
it on her own ever since.
